About Me

I’m just a kid playing grown-up. Mommy’s hat, daddy’s shoes, pretending to make a living and be responsible. I’ve thought and journaled since I was old enough to write. I was a serious young person, intent on what was going on around me. My childhood taught me a lot.

I’m 22, American living in Asia, married a former Russian orphan, philosophical to the bone since I was 8, one of 7 children who remarkably never drove mom insane, wrote my first 200 page book at 15, graduated high school at 16 (homeschooled), college graduate at 20, was married by 21. I’ve been drawing things ever since I can remember, aspiring to the perfection my mom could achieve with a pencil. Now I do it the modern way with Photoshop and Illustrator.

I love God more than anything, He saved me when nobody else could. He’s the only reason I’m still alive. I’m still working out how to share that with the world.

Cover-Design-1My book, The Artist and the Clay, is coming out soon! It’s a children’s picture book about how God makes each of us for a purpose. The Artist is creating a little clay boy, a brand new creation. One day, the little boy goes exploring and finds a stained glass window, it is so beautiful that he wants to become it. The next day, he demands that the Artist make him into a stained glass window. The Artist then explains why He creates things different.

  1. Mercy, I want to thank you for following “A Way With Words.” My joy in writing is enhanced as people read what I’ve written and made even more real as they respond.

I write mainly on faith and mental illness, but am known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please contact me.

I appreciate what you are doing here on your blog and look forward to reading more of your work in the days ahead. May God bless you richly as you are a blessing to others.

    Gratefully,
    Tony Roberts
